Snowmobiling in Togwotee Pass

We all made it back from our ski/snowmobile trip safe and sound this year. My brother, Andy, only had a moment of panic when he thought I drove the snowmobile off one of the cliffs.

We had a great time this year. There was a lot of powder which made the boarding very fun.

The best part of trip had to be our day of snowmobiling on the Contintental Divide. The company, High Country Snowmobiles, we originally contracted to guide us bailed the afternoon before our trip because they didn't have enough people for the trip. It was a very frustrating experience. Luckily Heart 6 Ranch came to the rescue. We had a great experience with this company. Josh, our guide, was the best.

I can't wait until next year. Back to work now.

Sking update

We had a great first day of sking. It snowed all day and there was lots of powder. So much that keith wiped out. He hit so hard his helmet came off. It was really funny. I don't know if you can see the snow that filled up his goggles. The photo from my cell phone does it justice.

I'm so excited because I'm heading out for our yearly guys ski/snowboarding trip tomorrow morning. This year should be better than ever because there is another boarder going with us. I'll try to send some photos to the blog using my cell phone.

Happy 70th Birthday Dad!

My dad turns 70 this weekend. Tomorrow morning I'm flying to San Antonio (very early) to surprise him. It's great because he doesn't suspect a thing. He has been complaining for weeks that no one is doing anything special for his 70th birthday. He is going to be totally surprised when he and my mom walk into the restaurant to find my brother, sister, and me waiting.

In honor of his birthday I made a short slide show for him growing up. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Winter in Florida

We moved to Orlando from Colorado almost 8 years ago.  It may sound crazy but we really miss the winters in Colorado.  So this weekend we decided to dress the kids up in some of our old cold weather clothing and create some cool :-) portraits.   We have now have a little bit winter hanging in our family room.
